Brief Therapy (also called short-term therapy) in counselling is a focused form of psychotherapy designed to help clients solve specific problems in a limited number of sessions, usually 5–20 sessions. Instead of exploring a person’s entire life history, brief therapy focuses on the present problem and practical solutions. This is intended to allow the client to seek clarification on the process of the therapy booking process.

The Process is initiated by the financier of the service, and then the Terms of Service (TOR) are developed with clear deliverables. This is supported by a contract with the Center to offer services. Some conditions are standard, like the prepayment feature before Share Centers and Professionals provide services.

Venue: The Share Physical Center does not host physical group therapy, and therefore, group therapy takes place in a venue selected by the client. It can be community halls, churches, schools, hotels, etc. The Center does not cater for any other expense besides facilitation; the rest of the budget (participants’ transport, venue, and refreshment) is taken care of by the convener.

Mode of Payment
Cash Prepaid method
- Share with a Counsellor provides therapy to local and international clients, and therefore, the payment system is set on the renowned payment gateway (PesaPal). This gateway allows local payment through M-Pesa and global payment through Master Card, Visa Card. Meaning, PesaPal accepts credit cards, debit cards, mobile money, and bank transfers. This strategy is intended to protect our client from exorbitant payment transfer charges.
- Our services are prepaid before access to services. This strategy protects the relationship between the Agency and the client by avoiding post-pay invoices, reminders, and debt collection mechanisms, among others. The client will have their personal accounting system upon subscription, which will show all transactions and wallet balance.
- Upon payment, the client will receive a payment receipt generated and sent to their personal email and personal dashboard.
- The current system is only linked to the client manager to manage communication with clients via WhatsApp, email, or telephone. Apparently, the payments are manual, whereby the client makes a session payment or a bulk payment. This can be done through direct transfer to the account, preferred by organizations. Alternatively, payment for most individuals is through the provided M-Pesa Pay Bill, provided by the client manager.
The online booking system
The Share with A Counsellor official Website has undergone an upgrade and rebranding. The new booking system on the Website has a client portal, where prepayment will be done. We are intentional with this feature, especially when targeting Institutions, Corporations, and Organizations that would prefer to pay in bulk and receive accounting reports and client therapy reports. It will also serve individual clients, who would appreciate the privacy of their transactions and therapy sessions.
Insurance cover
Share With A Counsellor has just rebranded. We have made relevant applications to different Insurance Companies, seeking to be validated and listed as a service provider. We may not tell how long the process will take; however, we will update our client using available contacts on the progress. At the moment, we are not providing counselling therapy services through any medical cover policies. However, we complete the reimbursement claim form for clients authorized by their agent to seek services from our Share Center.

In case you do not get a response on one medium, do not give up; try the other alternative. We are prudent in responding to all communication promptly. WhatsApp is the most preferred chat point, because it keeps a record and covers our global clients.
